Mike, for me consolation comes from within and without. I receive
consolation when I am able to give some of my strength and courage to
others -- which I am sometimes able to do, but more often cannot. I
find consolation in the company of dogs, so I spend a lot of time with
canine creatures. I find it in my backyard and with wild creatures, so
I spend quite a bit of time in "nature." I most especially find it
when I can say "Thy will be done," when I align my self with what Is.
There comes a time when each of us is invited to grow up spiritually. I
am consoled when someone helps me -- in a kind and gentle and
life-affirming fashion -- to do this.
