Mike, I would hope that God is pleased with whatever we do that draws us closer to the Presence and to the Mystical Body of Christ. And, it's not so much a question of is it necessary to go to church on Sunday, but do you want to go to church at all? Do you want to participate in the Eucharist or not? The calling is there, how do we answer? Merton calls us to contemplation. We are not Merton. How do we answer?
