Ascension of Jesus ChristThe Transfiguration of Jesus Christ Beatitudes Sermon on the Mount of Jesus Christ Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God
But it is the nature of love, compassion, and spiritual guidance that something external often causes the discovering and awakening of something within. The Holy Men in the Lakota tradition and Mother Theresa (just as examples) based much of their work on the belief and faith that even those who could not be cured could still be healed and could go to God with the circle within them going all the way around. So sometimes acceptance can be healing when it is truly acceptance and not just tolerance in disguise- and healing can in fact be consoling. When we awaken to God in the darkest part of the darkest night of the soul is the consolation that comes from that a response to something external or to something internal? I answer that question in this way: I don't know :)
