Editor-in-Chief

In addition to practicing law, Michael Guth also serves as Editor-in-Chief of a new legal newspaper under development for Tennessee. Originally in October 2003, Guth was approached by a company in Connecticut to become Editor-in-Chief of a newspaper for the Connecticut bar and bench. The model for The Connecticut legal newspaper was then applied to Tennessee, and a production model of The Tennessee Law Times was sent to approximately 3,200 attorneys across the state of Tennessee.
Unfortunately, the subscription response from these attorneys was rather tepid. These two newspapers were intended to be printed on newspaper in the size of a tabloid. However, that business model has now been abandoned in favor of an on-line legal newspaper to be called Tennessee Law Weekly.TM
The table below comprises links to numerous law newspaper articles written by Michael Guth during November 2003 - March 2004, on federal law, Tennessee law, and Connecticut law. The U.S. Supreme Court docket article and the Tennessee Supreme Court Digest are outdated but are shown here to illustrate their easy to digest writing style.
